We want you to love your SASA pieces. If something isn't right, we're here to help. Please read this policy carefully before placing your order.
SASA offers jewelry in different material finishes. Each product page clearly states the exact material of that piece. Our current collection includes gold-plated brass (brass base with 24K gold electroplating). Future collections may include gold-filled styles. None of our products are solid gold or gold vermeil unless explicitly stated. Please check the individual product page for the exact material before purchasing.
Return Window
We accept returns within 30 days of your delivery date. After 30 days, all sales are final.
Eligibility & Inspection
To be eligible for a return, your item must meet all of the following conditions:
• Be unworn — no signs of wear, perfume, lotion, chemicals, or cosmetic contact
• Be in its original packaging with all tags attached
• Be submitted within 30 days of delivery
• Not be on the non-returnable list below
Items returned in used or worn condition will be rejected — no refund will be issued. You will be notified by email and have 14 days to arrange return shipping at your own cost. Unclaimed items will be discarded.
Non-Returnable Items
The following cannot be returned or exchanged under any circumstances:
• Piercing earrings — flat-back, cartilage, nose, or any style designed for pierced use
• Very small studs under 6mm — for hygiene reasons
• Items marked Final Sale or Clearance at time of purchase
• Custom or personalized jewelry
• Gift cards
• Items showing signs of wear, damage, or alteration caused by the customer
Note: Standard earrings — hoops, drops, huggies, and studs 6mm or larger — are returnable if unworn and in original packaging.
How to Return — Step by Step
All returns are handled by email. Please follow these steps exactly:
Step 1 — Request your return (within 30 days of delivery)
Email fernando@sasajewels.com with subject "Return Request — Order #[your number]". Include: your full name, order number, item(s) to return, reason, and photos if the item arrived damaged or defective.
Step 2 — Wait for our response (within 2 business days)
We will review your request and reply with approval or a follow-up question. Do not ship anything back before receiving written approval — unauthorized returns will not be accepted or refunded.
Step 3 — Shipping your return
Once approved, you are responsible for return shipping using a trackable method at your own cost — unless the return qualifies for a prepaid label (see below). Pack items securely in original packaging.
Step 4 — Inspection (within 3–5 business days of receipt)
All returned items are inspected upon arrival. You will receive an email with the result. If the item shows signs of use or does not meet our conditions, the return will be rejected and no refund will be issued.
Step 5 — Refund or store credit (within 5–10 business days of approval)
If approved, you choose your refund method — see options below. Original shipping fees are non-refundable in all cases.
Note: Total estimated timeline: allow 15–20 business days from your first email to receiving your refund.
Prepaid Return Labels
We provide a prepaid return label only in the following cases:
• You received a defective item covered under our warranty
• We sent you the wrong item
• You choose store credit as your refund method
In all other cases, return shipping is the customer's responsibility. The label cost will be deducted from your refund when applicable. For defective items or wrong items sent by us, return shipping is fully covered — no deduction.
Refund or Store Credit — Your Choice
Refund to original payment method
• Customer is responsible for return shipping cost
• Original shipping fee is non-refundable
• Processed within 5–10 business days of approval
Store credit
• SASA provides a prepaid return label — label cost deducted from credit amount
• Full item value credited with no other deductions
• Issued within 2 business days of inspection approval
• Store credit never expires
Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items
If your item arrived damaged, defective, or we sent the wrong item, email fernando@sasajewels.com within 3 business days of delivery. Include your order number and clear photos. We will cover all return shipping and offer a full replacement (if available) or a full refund with no deductions — your choice.
Exchanges
We do not process standard exchanges. To get a different item, return the original (if eligible) and place a new order.
Exception: if your item arrived defective or damaged, we will replace it with the exact same item at no additional cost, with return shipping fully covered by SASA. If the item is out of stock, a full refund is issued automatically.
Return Abuse Policy
SASA reserves the right to refuse returns at its sole discretion, including:
• Items that do not meet the eligibility conditions above
• Items returned without prior written authorization
• Accounts with an unusual or excessive pattern of returns
• Items not purchased directly from SASA
Out-of-Stock & Fulfillment Errors
If an item in your order is found unavailable or in unsatisfactory condition at fulfillment, we will:
• Email you within 1 business day with a full explanation
• Issue a full refund for the affected item to your original payment method
• Ship the rest of your order as normal unless you instruct otherwise
We will never substitute a different item without your explicit approval.
Gold Plating & Care Guide
Please read this section before purchasing. Understanding the material of your SASA piece helps you care for it properly and get the most out of it.
What our jewelry is made of
SASA currently offers gold-plated jewelry crafted from a brass base (copper-zinc alloy) with a 24K gold electroplated finish. Future collections may include gold-filled styles. Both are fashion jewelry materials widely used across the industry. Each material is beautiful and long-lasting with proper care — but they have different characteristics. The material of each piece is always stated on the product page.
What to expect over time
• Gold plating naturally thins with use — this is normal and expected, not a manufacturing defect
• In high-friction areas such as ring bands or bracelet clasps, the base metal may show over time (applies to gold-plated pieces)
• Skin chemistry, sweat, and lifestyle habits significantly affect how long plating lasts
• SASA does not currently offer a replating or refurbishment program
How to care for your pieces
• Remove jewelry before showering, swimming, exercising, or sleeping
• Apply perfumes and lotions before putting on jewelry — never directly on the piece
• After each wear, wipe gently with a soft dry cloth
• Store each piece individually in an airtight bag or your SASA pouch, away from humidity and sunlight
• Avoid contact with household cleaners, saltwater, and chlorine
Note: With proper care, gold-plated pieces can maintain their finish for 1–2+ years. Gold-filled pieces are generally more durable and resistant to tarnishing.
